Not only is it a bit of an eye sore, but it's not great feng shui either. Our modern conveniences that drain water - toilets, sinks, washers - also drain chi. Shoots that energy right down into the sewers!
It's a tight fit for a door to open and close. Even a bi-fold wouldn't allow comfortable access to the unit for use. A curtain would work, but I really wanted something more structured and permanent - like a door, but not a door...
My solution? Blinds!

When the blinds are pulled up, the washer/dryer are completely accessible. When down, the unit is concealed and a protective barrier is created to keep the chi flowing around inside. Yay!!
